German Enterprise Account Manager PayPal

Job Location: Dublin, Ireland
In this role, you will manage and develop strong business relationships with a number of our large customers. You will be responsible for partnering with these customers to understand and review their business with PayPal.
Primary responsibilities
· Account Management
o Manage a number of key accounts within the German-speaking Market
You will have the chance to work closely with some of the biggest and best-known brands in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the world!
o Build trust & effective business relationships with these very large merchants

o Conduct regular face-to-face meetings
We believe that it is important to put a name to our face - business reviews, product presentations and strategic planning at our clients’ sites help us consistently grow our share of checkout!
o Closely monitor market and vertical trends
Knowing our and your clients’ competitors will be key to success!
· Sales
o Drive for results and work towards individual revenue targets
Tap into our ever growing end-user base, help your clients expand internationally, create and execute marketing campaigns at scale – innovate constantly, compete fiercely!
o Rollout new PayPal products into the German customer base
You will be at the cutting-edge of technology closely working with our Product Development and Integration Team. Online, Mobile, Instore – we define the future of payment!
· Stakeholders
o Liaise with other departments and the wider EMEA Centre of Excellence
We are committed to executing well, every day and pride ourselves on helping each other out whenever needed!
o Liaise closely with the in-country Business Unit
You will be working in tandem with our experienced Relationship Managers on devising growth strategies, executing upsell pitches and streamlining operational processes!
o Partner with your peers in other markets
The retail world is getting smaller and our global eBay network will help your clients take full advantage of Connected Commerce opportunities – consistent knowledge sharing between all teams ensures best practice and best possible client experience!
· Reporting / Business analysis
o Report regularly on the performance of your customers
o Report on sales performance compared to targets
o Report to the Team Leader for our Enterprise Account Management team

Job Requirements


  • Experience as an Account Manager, Channel Partner Manager and/or Relationship Manager

  • Proven experience in Growing or Developing Client business OR Upselling

  • Experience in building strong business relationships and trust with your customers

  • Fluency is German is essential; knowledge/experience in the German market is a distinct advantage

  • Motivated and Energetic about manager Customer relationships

  • Able to be creative in Problem Solving

  • Ability to understand customer business

  • Organised

  • Able to work in a team and Independently

  • Degree or equivalent is desired
